Love my Ford Explorer!
My 2007 Ford Explorer is by far my favorite vehicle that I have ever owned. The 4x4 is excellent. Even in Michigan winters I am able to get to work. The 3rd row allows for transportation of 7 people. However, when all seats are in use there is less cargo room. Plus side, though, is that all rear seats can lay flat. I've got 15,000 miles on it and it's still running great. The gas mileage is fair considering it is a V8, averaging 16 miles to the gallon. I usually travel on country roads and the dashboard allows me to track my mileage with ease. I am also alerted when a tire is low, an oil change is needed, or a bulb has died. The CD player and audio cord work well. When 3rd row is not in use there is plenty of room to lug around baby stuff (stroller, wagon, etc.).

Giant piece of junk.
I had nothing but problems with my Explorer. The moon roof stopped working, the automatic seats stopped working, and pieces around the windshield fell off. I had nothing but problems with it. I rarely went more than two months without having to take it in to have something looked at. Then I found out about the co2 problems that they were having, and that was the last straw. There was a never a recall because they don't even know how to fix it.

They were friendly & reasonably priced for reasonable cars. They worked with me on pricing for something I could afford, under 100,000 miles for $5,000.
