Great vehicle!
I love my Ford Explorer. It is now 16 years old and I did have to replace my engine, but only 4 years ago. It has a lot of room. It can hold 6 people or more. It has a huge trunk to store things in. This Explorer has taken me to many places. I have driven it camping, fishing, to the beach and many more places. It has been like a part of my family. My mother had it when I was a teenager and she passed it down to me. It was there when my niece was born. It has never failed us. It has so many memories. The original paint job has lasted me so long. It is top quality. And that was the factory paint job, too. I would recommend this vehicle to any age group. Whether it be a teenager's first vehicle, a couple having a new baby, or even for someone who is elderly. It has many capabilities. I have hauled trailers, four wheelers, a boat and even other vehicles with my Ford Explorer. I have never ran into a problem with this until my motor blew up. But that was a rather quick but expensive fix. I would definitely buy this type of vehicle in the future. But only when this one is no longer drivable. But I honestly don't see that happening anytime soon.

Not for moms.
I like that it is a mid size SUV that is not too costly. I dislike the comfort of the drivers seat, the pedals do not move and it makes it very uncomfortable for your legs and back while driving. The gas mileage is just OK I would expect about the same on any SUV. The seatbelts in the back seat aren't suited for car seats, yes it has the latch system, but I am old school and feel like I get a snugger car seat with the seat belt system. This car has soft nylon seat belt buckles as opposed to the firm are plastic buckle that has no give. It has many problems, I have had to replace numerous things some of which were overly expensive because of the design of the car. There are little things that are missing like the digital readout of your speed (its so much easier to read that way), also the buttons on the steering wheel are awkwardly placed so it makes them unusable. I cannot link my phone to Bluetooth and that is incredibly annoying. I had 2 other cars made in the same year and they both had more features than this car so I know its not an age thing. I like the third row seating that was a must, its a little tricky getting back there but no too uncomfortable. I wish there were more jacks to plug in your phone are various accessories. The gas tank door doesn't lock, you don't have to pull a lever from inside the car to open it, this just makes it too easy for people to steal gas from your tank and unfortunately it happens a lot where I live.
