Decent Get Up and Go for an Economy Car
The Ford Focus attracted me most due to its economical starting price tag and decent fuel economy. I purchased the vehicle just before beginning law school and wanted something that would be reliable, get good gas mileage and not need costly repairs during a period where I wasn't working more than part-time.
For a 4 cylinder vehicle, my Focus could get up to 70+ MPH in a hurry. I drove from Minnesota to California in the vehicle and never questioned my ability to do so.
The interior, stereo system and trim were fairly basic. This was a no frills vehicle for a no frills period in my life.

Overall great car.
This is a great beginners car. The hatchback design makes it a small, compact car that's easy to park, but it lacks some space for groceries and luggage.
