great commuting car
The main aspect of the car that persuaded me to buy it was the way it looked. It was a cute, compact car that I felt fit my style as I am a female in my mid 20's. It had the look I wanted but still was large enough to fit my baby's car seat in the back. There was also enough room in the trunk for her stroller. The other things I enjoyed about the car's design was the interior lights in the cup holders and by the gas pedal so you aren't fishing around for things in the dark. In addition to it's style, it also seemed to be a safe car based on the reviews I had read and the way it drove for me. It was very easy to handle as it is a smaller car and I had no trouble with blind spots. The car also gets great gas mileage, and the miles until empty is displayed on the car's dashboard, which I found to be very helpful. The only drawbacks to the car is that it does have a little trouble in the snow. (This is to be expected though when driving a small car where the winters are harsh.) It also has a bit of trouble accelerating when driving through elevated areas. Overall, I would say it is a great, reliable car for a daily commute, but not a car you would want to use to drive across the country for a family vacation as it is smaller and may not be prepared for adverse conditions.

Fun little rocket
The Focus ST is a fun little hot hatch. It competes nicely in a crowded market and compares favorably to others in its class. Front-wheel drive is the choice for the car. And it does create some torque steer. Handling is superb. It follows the line you steer it. A real drivers car. And has nice over steer response for a front -wheel drive car.

Durable, consistent, and reliable. The gas mileage is also great. It's a good commuter vehicle.
The car's style leaves a little bit to be desired, it's sort of plain looking, and really doesn't offer a whole lot in terms of being aesthetically pleasing. That being said, this vehicle has taken me across the country several times without much trouble. As long as you take consistent care of the car, it's going to take care of you. The cabin and layout of the car is very roomy, and the heat and air conditioning have had no trouble keeping up with the relatively large space throughout the years. You won't find yourself constantly at the dealership or mechanic for repairs, the car is cost effective in that respect. The gas mileage is great, and even with frequent commuting, you'll be filling up the tank once a week at most. This is a huge benefit for those with a long drive to and from work. The road noise can be a bit much at times, especially out on the highway. You'll notice yourself turning up the radio at times to drown out the road noise.
