Honda Accord is the best for the money!
I chose to review my 2002 Honda Accord because of the high quality of the vehicle. I was skeptical when I originally purchased the car in September of 2002 solely based on the fact that I had only owned American made vehicles before that time. My venture into the foreign made side has left a long-term impact on my family and me. I will say that the LX version, in my opinion, is one of the best value sedans on the market. The fuel economy is outstanding even in stop-and-go city traffic. I routinely average around 35+ miles to the gallon. While one may opt to go for a higher end model of this car, I am extremely satisfied with the build quality of the LX. I will say that as I approach the 300,000 mile mark, I rarely ever hear a squeak, rattle, or even a whimper. Also, to my knowledge, there has only been one major recall in the 13 year history of this car and that was due to a faulty air bag. This recall was handled as professionally as anyone could ever possibly hope for by the company. All of that, along with the stylish exterior, the quality of sewing of the cloth seat interior, and the reliability of the engine, leave me with a feeling of confidence that I will be able to pass this vehicle down to one of my children in the near future. If by chance my children do not want the car, I aim to convert it to a work vehicle, since I am able to carry lumber up to 8 feet in length with ease through the small pop-down door that leads from the back seat into the trunk!

Nearing 200k miles and still going strong
This 2001 Honda Accord LX belonged to my cousin before I purchased it from her and already had 175k miles on the odometer. I have since put another 15k miles on it and have not had any mechanical issues whatsoever. It is the most basic model so it does not have many creature comforts like power windows or locks, but the A/C still blows cold air and it runs every time I need it to.
The engine is still powerful and responsive enough to enter a highway and make passes at speed. With so many miles on the transmission, it has trouble when travelling at 60+mph for extended periods of time and will overheat after 3 hours or so. However, it doesn't stall or leave me stranded. The case of the transmission just heats up to a point where the gunk on the outside of it starts to burn off causing minimal white smoke. This is easily fixed by pulling off the road and letting it cool for a few minutes before heading off again.

Super awesome sales staff. The were easy to work with and very nice.
They gave me a good deal on my trade in and made the whole experience a pleasure. The only thing that could have been better that day was if it hadn't been raining. But if that's the only thing bad about it ill take it.
