Hyundai Accent Baltimore, MD OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Baltimore, Maryland
The little engine that could.
I am the original owner of this vehicle. I purchased the car in March 2009 at the height of the great recession. I used the car to commute through heavy traffic for six years, 40 miles in each direction. I used the car to make road trips in the spring, summer and fall. I have maintained the vehicle religiously, oil changes, tire changes, belt, hose and fluid changes, whatever is necessary to continue good performance. I once owned a BMW. This little car is just as solid even if it is small and less peppy.

A decent go-getter
My vehicle is a small, white hatchback. What I liked about it was that it generally had good fuel management. I used to drive it for Lyft and after about an eight-hour shift I, at most, spent about 20 dollars after burning through a couple hundred miles. It also held up pretty well when I got into an accident. Someone hit the back of my car pretty hard, and there was barely any damage. What I didn't like about the car was the size. It barely could fit more than three people comfortably. I would definitely prefer to cut back on trunk space for more room for seating.

Get What You Pay For
The Hyundai Accent is a car in its basic sense. It takes me to work and lets me run errands. However, it is nothing to get excited about. It can't go above 65 mph without the steering wheel shaking. Most of the car parts are made of plastic and will break very easily. Both of my visors broke, my wheel cover cracked in half, and my AC was broken by a pebble. Yes, a pebble. The car gets very, very hot if left out in the sun. I've had plastic melt in there. Space wise, it's a standard car. It's crammed full of sewing materials and other junk, leaving me no room for my passengers. My husband is about 6 foot and can hardly fit in the car when it's clean. It is a car built for short people, like me. This allows it to fit into small spaces when parking, which is nice. Gas wise, it's okay. I have to fill up every week but it's a small tank (around 12 gallons). The side mirrors are collapsible and everything can make them collapse. They are really hard to put back into position too, I've gotten bruises before from that. That being said, it has survived quite a few accidents with only minor scrapes.

The dealership is very close to home and easy to get to. Had the make and model car that I was interested in test driving and the salesperson seemed to know enough information to answer my questions.

It was easy to use. I felt like they continued to follow up with me. The first oil change was free. They were willing to negotiate. Overall they seemed pretty fair

I got helped as soon as I worked through the doors. They worked closely with me to get the car and color I wanted, even though it originally was out of my price range.

Nothing about this dealership separated it from any other dealership. Very long wait times and the my sales person was juggling multiple people at one time, which left me alone with unanswered questions for hours.
