The automaker calls it a "Sport Adventure Vehicle," adamant that the Santa Cruz is not a pickup for people who usually shop for trucks. It competes with Ford Maverick, Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevrolet Colorado, Honda Ridgeline, Subaru Forester, and Hyundai Tucson.
