Good
I bought my 2004 Hyundai Sonata 2.7L V6 from my parents as my first car. I have put about 10,000 miles on it myself, on top of the 122,000 that it had on it when the car became mine, and it still runs great. I think that while at some points on the outside make the car look like it was made for an old man to drive, the rest of the car is very nice. I like the interior and feel to the steering wheel. I also like the position of the seat relative to the pedals, since the two other cars I've driven have felt very awkward compared to my Sonata. I am 6 feet 2 inches tall and I sit comfortably in any seat in the car. I am also able to fit all of my baseball gear, as well as various other things in the trunk. Obviously it is not a huge trunk compared to a truck, but compared to other cars it is relatively big. The only running issue that I have felt is that my car began to shake at random intervals, but this went away after replacing the spark plugs. My car has only been in the shop for NY state inspections, since I try to do all maintenance myself. Through 3 oil changes and the replacement of the spark plugs, costs have been fair. Oil changes are easy, but the spark plugs were very hard to get to. (I guess Hyundai doesn't want you to do them on your own, since we had to remove the manifold to get to the back 3 spark plugs.) The maintenance is expected in a car this old. The mileage ranges from 17 to 21 mpg, which is good for 2004 but not compared to the cars that get over 30 mpg today. I've driven 3 cars before this, and this is by far my favorite to drive. It is a very easy car to drive, and to see out of. With minimal blind spots and very open windows, it's easy to see where the car is and where you want it to be. I feel safer and more in control of this car than any other car. Everything is less awkward, even including steering and braking. The acceleration is good for a car of its age, but it could be partially due to the v6 (I don't know how a 4 cylinder would perform). Overall, I like this car very much.

Great family car
A friend of mine decided that she would make a lot of money as a car salesperson. I wanted to support her dream, and we needed to replace our old car, so we let her help us choose our new one. My husband was to be the primary driver of it, and he had become accustomed to driving a large car, so imagine my surprise when we found that this one was small enough for me to be happy, and large enough for him to be happy!
