Stylish and dependable
The 2000 Jaguar S-Type exceeded my expectations of a four-door sedan when purchasing it. The exterior of the car has a unique yet classic look that doesn't appear dated 18 years later as many cars from its generation do. The interior features leather seats that have retained comfort and not began to crack or fade in color as old leather often does. The S-Type features a 4.0 liter V-8 that offers great fuel economy and plenty of power and reliability. In addition to a six-disc CD changer, the sound system has controls on the steering wheel and Bluetooth connectivity which allows hands-free calls on your phone. The interior trim has accents of birds-eye maple which offer a sophisticated and pleasing style. The trunk doesn't feature much depth but could still easily fit two golf bags. The S-Type features driver and passenger air bags and child safety locks for doors and windows The S-Type drives and rides smooth thanks to active struts on the sport model that sense and respond to the terrain as well as an independent rear suspension. The S-Type sport features a sport mode which, when engaged, stiffens the suspension to be more responsive in curve filled, spirited driving. The S-type also offers the safety of traction control when driving in slippery conditions or disengaged when wanting to act like a teenager and spin the back tires.
