2010 Jeep Patriot
The main reason I bought this model SUV was because it had the some of the highest safety ratings at the time. While I have not had an occasion to test whether the rollover ratings were accurate, I have had excellent experience driving this vehicle in all types of weather to include snow and ice. The maintenance on the vehicle has been very low. So far outside of the usual maintenance, the only problem I have had so far is the serpentine belt and the pulley system on it had to be replaced.

I have all most 90K miles on this car. The entire time I have had it, I have never had any major problems with the car. I am moderately active on routine maintenance. The issues that I have now are results of the high mileage and age. The most recent issue is the ETC (electronic throttle control). Light would come on briefly. About two weeks ago, I went to a store about two blocks from my home. The car seemed to have a rough start leaving for the store. When I was leaving the store, the car would not start at all. The ETC light was on. I looked in the manual, and I could find very little information about the LTC other than it existed. At the repair shop I was told that the battery was bad, and it was replaced and not to deal with the ETC right now as it is a very expensive fix. Occasionally, I have a rough start with the car. But, still, for a car with 90K on it, it is really a pretty good experience.
