2007 Jeep Wrangler OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Hickory, North Carolina
Cool, but not practical.
First of all, let me express that I am a massive fan of the Jeep Wrangler. I came home from the hospital after being born in a slick 1994 YJ and it's been a family tradition ever since. I previously had a 2001 TJ Wrangler which I loved but unfortunately lost it due to two separate accidents. However, I currently have a 2007 Jeep Wrangler X. (The first year of the JK!) Too be honest, I can't say that I'm a fan. I love the fact that it's a Wrangler for obvious reasons so I suppose I'm a little biased. It's unfortunate that my list of complaints are considerably longer than my compliments. They revamped the interior of the JK but it's no better than the older models and I actually argue that it's worse. My model is the original, two door version (which gets bonus points for keeping it's original design compared to the Unlimited JK's) It is almost like a matte silver color which is one of my favorite. I'm running on a three and a half inch lift with thirty-five inch tires. My Jeep rides like a tank and definitely isn't considered a luxury vehicle by any means. The interior is very minimal and basic with just a radio and vents essentially.

My jeep is a workhorse. It travels the back trails like a champ and does so reliably. It's a soft top, so that comes with issues like high wind noise, constant leaks, and poor visibility. But I bought my Jeep so I could have a toy that also functions as a automobile. When I can, I will likely by another daily driver.

It is a good vehicle.
I originally purchased this vehicle after moving to California. There is plenty of mountainous terrain to take the Jeep. My wife and I enjoy camping and hiking, so it would be beneficial to own an all-terrain vehicle. It also has a manual transmission, which is great. It was difficult for me to drive an automatic in the traffic of southern California.
