love it!!
I only have owned the 2009 Kia Optima for approximately 3 weeks. I love the look of the car, it handles beautifully. When we first purchased the car it was having issues with the transmission, it was having a lot of difficulty down shifting when you reached about 20 miles per hour. It was quite an easy fix though, just needed a software upgrade. It gets 32 mpg highway, which I think is pretty amazing. It came with Sirius radio installed, which my kids love. My kids also like that there is a fold down table top in the middle seat in the rear, with two cup holders. The trunk is pretty spacious, the back seats can fold down to allow trunk space, if needed. It has tilt steering wheel, anti lock brakes, power windows and power locks.

Kia Optima, a little disappointing.
This car looks great, it has plenty off room inside for five people. It is comparable to the Chevy Malibu in many ways. However, the Kia Optima does not do well in snow. There was a couple of inches of snow soon after we bought this car and we found out quickly just how bad the car was in snow. It took us three hours to move the car about 150 yards in three inches of snow. The tires would spin and spin, but no forward motion. With a push from behind the car would move but with tires spinning the car would slide sideways, it was maddening. d not recommend this car to anyone living in a climate where there is snow and ice in the winter.
