Long live the Lexus
For a pretty old car (almost 20 years old!), this car still runs well and feels like a luxury model. The interior is sleek and comfortable and because it was a high-end car, when it came out, its functions are not very outdated (e.g. heat warmers, ability to set a preferred seat set-up). The car runs very smooth and has nice pick-up. It also has some good anti-slip technology for when it rains or snows. The sounds system is good although not exceptional, and since it's old, it doesn't have some perks such as iPhone hook-ups.

Reliable vehicle at 170,000 miles
It's a reliable car, assuming you are a responsible car owner and have maintenance performed when needed and consistently. The car, though 17 years old, still drives like a luxury auto. The air conditioning unit has finally failed, where the internal switch has collapsed, and though the A/C turns on, the air is no longer properly directed to flow through the vents. The estimates have this A/C job costing approximately $1,800.00. The door's auto lock feature has started to fail, and now does not lock/unlock two of the four doors. Again, the switch in the passenger side door needs to be replaced, and the cost of the job is steep (@$1,000). Living in Southern CA in Los Angeles county, the car's paint has started to oxidize with the faded white grey appearance. Also, the trim along the top of the front to back window has started cracking and flaking off which shows the metal underneath. Overall, this is a vehicle that I still rely on heavily and still performs very nicely, drives smoothly.

This is a very good car for the price.
Even though the car is quite old, it still feels like a luxury vehicle, with leather seats, heat warmers, and multiple seat positioning controls. The car also has nice pickup. Although the sound system is a bit dated (who still uses CDs), the speakers are great. We can listen to reggaet—n with the base real high. Because of its age, the car has some issues, and we've had to put in a not insignificant amount of money on upkeep; however, it is still very reliable and can drive from CT to NY so I can visit my niece at least once a month.
