Mazda 6 Awesomeness
I have had the car for 60k+ miles so far and it has been a trooper. There are few things that have gone awry with it so far. The internal car noise is minimal, getting to key components is easy to do, and replacing the interior cabin filter is a breeze.

Mazda 626. The first car.
My first car I ever owned was the Mazda 626. Like any person getting their first car, no matter what brand or age, initially you are going to be very excited. Likewise, I was. I was so excited the first time I took seat in my very first 1999 Mazda 626.

bargain gone wrong
In general, the car was a bad deal for me because someone sold it to me knowing that the A/C would break down 2 weeks later (the condenser had a hole in it, which the thief filled with enough anti freeze to last a little while). That aside, the car is very durable. It already had a good amount of miles on it and I took it on a cross country trip from FL, to TN, to MN and back. It handled very well, consumed little gas, and didn't overheat in spite of consecutive 10 plus hour drives. It's a stick shift, so it's fun unless you're in a metropolitan area. As far as space goes, it's got plenty of room and places for me to rest my arms and elbows when driving. The trunk especially is huge, and has a built in space for a spare tire and the jacks. My only thing is that once it start breaking down it kind of goes downhill, I ended up spending about as much as it cost me in repairs within the next 2-3 years of purchase in radiator, clutch, battery, hoses, belts, etc. Next time it breaks down I probably won't repair it.
