Great vehicle but LOVES gas
I purchased a used 2005 Nissan Murano in 2008. I loved the styling of it (sleek, but still rugged looking). I wanted a car that could haul a lot of gear and still feel like a daily driver I could take on errands. This certainly fit the bill. The back seats splits 60/40 and folds down on either (or both) sides. The back was large enough for a jogging stroller or a load of groceries on its own, but once you folded the back seat down you could fit a disassembled armchair. (I know, because we did.) The ride quality was smooth, and the car itself was very quiet, even at highway speeds. The six-way drivers' side seat adjustment made for a very comfortable seat, and we often took this car on longer trips instead of a more economical Prius, but because it was so much more comfortable. The AWD made driving in bad weather no problem at all. The only downside to this vehicle was the gas mileage. In city traffic with no A/C running, it got 16 mpg on a good day, and it only went down from there if anything else was utilized (AWD, A/C, bad traffic, etc.). Highway driving was much better, ranging from 23-26 MPG. The poor city-driving gas mileage was the only thing that would make me hesitate to buy again, or recommend. Other than that I'd buy it again in a heartbeat.

My favorite car
As I said, this is my favorite car. I love the size of the Murano, the five-door design, the feel of being in a big car but at the same time, very manageable. The car has been good in terms of repair. Never had a vital problem, only regular maintenance, until now, anyways, now it's old and needs some work. One of the best things is that I always have big dogs and the trunk is perfect for them. This was my first car with sunroof window and I love it.
