At the time, I knew I wanted a Japanese car. They are known for their reliability, gas efficiency, and longevity. My previous car was a Dodge Intrepid that got less efficient gas mileage and constantly had transmission problems. That dealership was very close to work, and was willing to finance the purchase despite my poor credit, although they did charge me a very high interest rate.
