No frills, no fun
Where to start?! The 2007 Nissan Versa is everything you expect: basic. It will probably get you from point A to point B. The car handles like a walrus sliding on a fresh coat of ice Ð you'll notice as your whole body goes numb from all the vibrations the road throws at you. Speaking of road, you don't just feel it; you hear it. Really well. The audio system may be ok; however, it is not loud enough to cover the teeth rattling asphalt being kicked up under the body. Bare in mind, this is all while traveling at an extremely low horsepower rate of speed. The only pep you'll find in the Nissan Versa is if you're drinking coffee. Let's talk reliability for a second: It's not! This car has more problems than any I've experienced in a comparable class. We had several major failures included anything related to EVAP or similar. Basically, whatever the price is, add about $8k in repairs over the course of the vehicles life. Long story short: The 2007 Nissan versa is ugly, performs poorly, unreliable, and uncomfortable. It does however get good gas mileage, so there's that!

Great mileage, some quirky maintenance.
The Nissan Versa is a great hatchback with lots of space, plenty of room for up to five passengers and trunk for luggage, a dog, or camping gear or even groceries for the family. The maintenance on a Nissan Versa Hatchback SL can be tricky though. The door handles will wear over time, there is lock tool in order to get to the battery and change it out which can be a pain, the A/C filter has a trick to it and there is a second small A/C filter by the passenger seat, changing a head light can have some tricky angles to maneuver.
I bought this car used in 2011 from a man who had given it to his father so he could drive from Dallas to Austin to visit. It is a great car with fantastic mileage it is 2017 I commute to work and work two jobs and this car has never failed to get me from point A to point B and has only ever stalled on me once but that was due to a pen getting stuck in the brake (keep your car clean folks so this doesn't happen to you.) So I chalk that up to user error. As long as you get the maintenance done in a timely manner this little six cylinder can keep going for two decades! well worth it!
