Solid car for the price
This car is a generally nice car. It does a lot of things okay, but nothing really great. For the price point, you get what you pay for. Some of the materials feel cheap, and most of the interior and exterior of the car is plastic, including the bumpers. But it gets great gas mileage (38-40mpg), is very roomy for a compact car, and has amble trunk space for all your travels.

Small car, BIG inside
The Nissan Versa is a small, compact car. The style looks fairly sleek for what it is (the hatchback model). Once you get inside, though, it no longer seems small at all. The seats are set fairly high, but there is no bumping your head on the ceiling (I am almost 6') and it makes it a comfortable driving position. One of the biggest pluses of the Versa (both sedan and hatchback) is the interior room which allows even adults to sit comfortably in the back seat and you still have room for luggage, groceries etc. And when the back seats are folded down, you can use it to carry very large items. I am working on building a house and have been able to carry all of my tools and quite a bit of lumber. The windows are large. This alleviates most blind spots-especially with the dual side-view mirrors which I think are standard on the car. I have over 50,000 miles on my car and the only expenses have been normal maintenance. Regular oil changes and checking tires and brakes. No problems at all. And it is really fun to drive. It isn't the peppiest car off the line, but not bad. Once you are above 40-45 MPH, it accelerates nicely for passing, and has no problem going up the hills (even steep hills where I live). This is the first car I have ever driven with a suspension that makes it so you don't lean around corners. You can't even feel it! The mileage is a little bit of a con. I get about 34 MPG. While that is good for some people, I am used to Nissans that get close to 40 or more...so that is an area where they need work.

The salesman was friendly (well, I guess they usually are when they want to sell you something), but above all, he was not pushy!. Financing was easy even though my credit score was only 580.,, But the rate was higher than I would have liked...Try to improve your credit score if you can. But I need a car, didn't have great credit and I left with one. Now on my way to rebuild my credit thanks to this car loan.
