Not a bad ride
I was drawn to the Subaru Forester because of its reviews. In person I noticed the Forester had a lot of room and options for the price. When I purchased my Forester I was living in northern Rhode Island so I needed a car that could deal with the harsh winter weather. At the time Subaru offered the New England package for the Forester. This included heated cloth seats, a heated section under the windshield wipers and heated mirrors. All of these features with the symmetrical all wheel drive made this car a solid choice. I was working for a waste water plant so I needed to be able to get to work, during super storm Nemo that dropped tons of snow on New England I was able to get to work and back home multiple times without much issue. I was one of the only people on the road and the Subaru just kept going.

A safe and comfy ride
I love my car; it has a lot of space, especially for the driver and passenger. I have many tall friends, and they enjoy that their heads don't hit the top and that they have plenty of leg room. My 2015 Subaru Forester has 55k miles on it and has been from coast to coast of the United States multiple times. I've taken it off-roading through the mountains and down thickly snowed trails. I'm only 5'2", and it is also perfect to sleep in if you fold down the back seats. It has a back-up camera, which is wonderful for those who aren't confident backing up and need assistance parallel parking. Subaru cars are also notoriously safe, so I have no worries about being harmed if I were ever in an accident. My Subaru has a tow hitch and has towed a small teardrop trailer for camping; it also has the roof rack and can carry five snowboards! Most notably though, is if you put down the backseats, you can fit six Shibu Inus in the back! or four medium-sized crates (we travel for shows and dog sports, definitely a good dog car!). My car has always driven very well especially at higher speeds and gets great gas mileage. It gets up to speed fast, and you don't lag when the car is shifting up in gear. I just took my car in for an inspection and oil change as I'm approaching 60k miles, and I was worried about needing new brakes. I was informed I have 0.8mm left on both front and rear breaks--meaning I don't have to replace them hopefully for another few years! My fluids also all looked good, and they said I won't need to flush them for awhile and to just check every 12k miles or so. I love this car; it is so easy and such low maintenance.
