2017 Subaru Legacy OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Comfortable and reliable
The Subaru Legacy series has excellent headroom, which is very important for a person who is 6'4" . The interior is spacious overall as well, and is aesthetically pleasing. I chose the leather interior and have found it very easy to keep clean. The car came standard with deep rubber floor mats that do an excellent job of catching dirt, snow, and water. The vehicle gets excellent fuel mileage and has a smooth ride. The engine runs quietly. The all-wheel drive feature handles the snow and ice conditions of the Midwest better than any other car I've driven. My car has the Eye-Sight feature, which signals the driver by beeping when the vehicles veers out of it's lane. This can be annoying when driving on country roads that are unmarked, but the feature can be turned off. The system also signals when the car is approaching the car in front of it too quickly and will self brake. The car is attractive to look at, and is a nice size. The car had no trouble starting during the recent polar vortex, so I find it to be very dependable. The car uses synthetic oil, which means fewer oil changes than conventional oil. The trunk is very roomy, and I can good down the rear seats for bulkier items.

Solid car with good reliability
This was the first Subaru we leased and overall we were thoroughly impressed by the car and its features. As with all Japanese cars, the Legacy handled very well and was very reliable. Behind the wheel, you feel very sturdy and safe. It is also relatively spacious and can see five people with ease. While it doesn't have leather, the seats are nonetheless comfortable, and there is ample space within the car to store water bottles, papers, and anything else you might need to store. Additionally, the cars electronic suite was also pretty good. The base speakers were not the best but were acceptable for the price point, and the touchscreen was pretty intuitive. That said, I wish they did include a Map on the touchscreen so I would not have constantly use my phone's Google Maps. Also, another thing I'd note is that it does take some getting used to. If this is you're first time behind a Subaru, make sure to get comfortable since it does handle differently from other cars. I would say it feels stronger and more rugged than, say, your traditional Toyota minivan. Overall, great car and would recommend to anyone searching for a new car.
