Buying a Subaru Outback was a great decision.
The 2004 Subaru Outback is a great car and is still holding up in 2018. Being 14 years old, it is expected to have some rattles and battle wounds. The past few years it has needed about 2,000 dollars in repairs, but again, this is expected. It is approaching 200,000 miles, and it is still running strong. I think it could last another 2-3 years. I regularly take 8-hour trips with this car, and it rides decently smooth on the open highway. On the country roads, it is louder than most cars though.
