The car that's a part of the Subaru family.
This is an all-wheel drive vehicle that gets better gas mileage than most 4-wheel drive and other all wheel drive vehicles available. I have the wagon, which gives the flexibility not of just driving passengers around, but picking up a new hot water heater, or even lumber without the need for a truck. It is a comfortable car. This model has heated leather seats, cruise control, precision climate control, and a lot of other options usually only found on more expensive vehicles. The driver's seat has 5-way electronic adjustment, so I can raise and lower the entire seat in addition to moving it forward or backward as I can in other vehicles. I expect this Subaru to make it to at least 350,000 miles without a new engine, and I am nearly there with 295,000 miles on it now.

The car I didn't know I needed
I really love my Subaru Outback. I bought this car because I moved to the mountains and needed a car that could handle in all weather. I had had a few ice episodes that had really scared me. When I got the Outback, it was winter. In a very short time, I found myself going up the icy mountain road. We slipped a little but never more than an inch (seriously). I knew then that it really was possible to drive in icy conditions with this car. I never felt so safe and happy with a buying decision. It also works great handling the curves in faster driving conditions in the sun and rain. The seats are comfortable, and I love the seat warmers. The size is perfect for our family of four, and when we go on big trips, we add a rack container to the top for more storage. That is super easy and sure beats driving around a big SUV all year for a few weeks a year of needing more room. The dashboard an controls are very easy and obvious, and I like the lay out of the displays.
