2013 Subaru Crosstrek OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

A lot of fun to drive
Overall, the crosstrek is an amazing car. It has all wheel drive which is amazing in the snow. I drove a pickup with 4 wheel drive before I bought the Crosstrek. It handles way better than the Pickup. It has Bluetooth stereo which is nice for taking calls and listening to your music. It regularly gets 30 miles to the gallon which is better than the EPA estimate. The handling is very good and I liked it for the ground clearance. It has the same ground clearance as a Jeep Grand Cherokee! My only gripe is the power. With a 2.0 Liter flat four and only 150 hp it is sluggish. With 5 people in the car it has a hard time moving quickly. This is the only engine option for 2013 so it is not something that you can fix. In one year I put 27,000 miles on this car. No issues in sight. Only regular maintenance has been oil changes and tire rotations. Visibility is very good in the crosstrek. Large windows all around make for few blind spots. The styling is one of the first things that drew me to the crosstrek. It has aggressive looks and is matched with black rims. It is a young and spirited car. I am always excited to pull up to another Crosstrek and see what the owner looks like. It's always fun to wave to others you made the same choice as you.

Reliable, Versatile, Fuel Efficient and Safe
I have driven my Crosstrek for three years and have put about 35,000 miles on it. I love this car for its reliability, smooth drive, and ability to handle all kinds of roads and weather. I have driven this car in snow, ice, sleet and heavy rain, and I have felt safe and in control of the vehicle at all times. I never worry about whether or not my car can handle the weather or road conditions. It has been extremely reliable. I have had no issues arise whatsoever in the last three years. This is my first time owning an AWD vehicle and I was worried about fuel efficiency, but the Crosstrek has exceeded my expectations. I average about 30 miles per gallon. Less (about 28 mpg) if I am exclusively driving on city streets and more on long highway-only road trips (33 mpg). I love this car! The interior is comfortable, and the heated seats and durable floor mats are essential in snowy weather. The engine is not very big, but it has been able to handle trips to the mountains and accelerates onto the highway with no issues. We have added a tow hitch, which makes it easy to transport our bikes and other gear for weekend adventures. The orange color we chose definitely turns heads, and makes it easy to spot our car in the parking lot!
