When one is considering the durability and longevity of a car, you also consider the safety rating of the vehicle. You can't beat a Toyota. They are consistently the most durable, most transferred to a new family driver. They have a solid body and are airbag equipped. The four doors make it viable to walk away from an accident that doesn't involve a head-on collision. The rating for a marginal front overlap crash was good. The side cash rating was A. Ours has been in three accidents and is still driving well after repair. It is a solid testament to the side construction as two of those accidents were side strikes. Fuel economy was another aspect that sets the Toyota Corolla above. With regular oil changes and air filter changes and tune ups, our 2005 gets 34 MPG to this day, with 173,000 miles. There is nothing I can say I don't like about this vehicle, aside from the tires are a little tired. The car itself performs well upon acceleration onto the highway. It has kept its A/C forever.

Excellent point A-point B car!
I purchased my 2011 Toyota Corolla Sport five months ago. I'll tell you what - it is a fantastic point A-point B car. I was pleasantly surprised when I initially went to check out the car. I also own a 2005 Toyota Camry LE with 300,000 miles on it currently, and it still drives like a beauty. I was still a little bit uneasy while checking out the car, since I'd never not bought a car from someone I knew beforehand. Right after getting in the driver's seat, I knew this was the car for me. It's nothing too fancy, but it definitely gets the job done. Mine has all the bells and whistles (which still isn't that much), but it has just enough, so I don't feel like I'm driving a car from 1999. The Corolla had a new engine (<20,000 miles on it), which was very nice and the body had around 100,000 miles on it. I could tell it was taken care of very well. The interior is nice, but the seats do leave something to be desired. They aren't the most comfortable seats in the world to start with. Although, it's not too expensive to switch out the seats in there. The car has a decent amount of zip to it when accelerating, and the steering is tight. Toyota makes fantastic, long-lasting cars. I definitely recommend this car to anyone who just recently started working or doesn't want anything too fancy and something to just last forever!

It was the closest Toyota dealer. I didn't want to drive to Akron.
