2011 Toyota Tacoma OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS
Greenwood, Arkansas
Dependable, but not ideal.
My 2011 Toyota Tacoma has been dependable so far when we needed it to get us somewhere. It has 150,000 miles on it. At first, we loved what a steady truck it was. We didn't have to replace anything and there were no major problems. Lately, the turn signals have been blowing fuses very often. This makes it stressful to drive in busy cities because we never know when they will go out and need replaced. We have also noticed that this truck is very difficult to drive up hills. It loses power and slugs down as we try to make it up any sort of hill. It can still get us where we want to go but the slow down is very noticeable. The truck's back doors can only open when you open the front doors first. This makes it difficult to let our kids out when we go places. We have to be sure to park in a spot with plenty of room beside us. The size of the truck was just fine when our kids were young. Now our son is almost 12 and the leg room in the back is very minimal. He finds himself cramped most of the time. The long truck bed can carry groceries and big items for us but if it is raining or if we have something that we are not willing to store in the back of the truck, we find ourselves with very little room. Overall, I would say that this truck has been a good truck to get from place to place. It is just now starting to show signs of problems but it has lasted us a while. I would not recommend it to large families due to the lack of room and limited seating for the kids.

Best midsized truck
Overall, I like the sleek look of the truck. It has good body styling and crisp lines. The ability to add after market parts and still increase the look of it are also a plus (running boards, roof rack). Quality in terms of engine and interior so far have been excellent. I've had no problems with the truck. The controls and stereo input is well laid out, and the seats are comfortable for around-town driving and for longer trips. I have the full-sized bed, which is great for hauling bikes, lumber, etc. The plug in the bed is also nice for playing a stereo in the driveway or at a sporting event.
