Tacoma is one of the best trucks I have ever owned
Ever since I have bought my Toyota Tacoma, I have had an exceptional experience. There isn't a place that my Toyota can't take me. I have always been an off road kind of person, and my Toyota has definitely proven itself when we are off the pavement. There are so many pros to what Toyota Tacoma’s have to offer. My favorite part is that it is so light weight. This helps for me not to get stuck when I am in the mud, and also helps with keeping the gas mileage up! I have never owned a truck that actually got good gas mileage, so it is shocking when I go on a long trip and end up going a lot longer than I have planned. There are also no rattles or any bad design flaws in the interior of the Tacoma. When they designed this, they put in 9 cup holders which are always a favorite! There is plenty of storage throughout the vehicle, and even a plug in the bed of the truck so you can always bring the blender for the margaritas for the tailgating party! The interior looks and feels nice, with storage in the back seats, and in the doors. The only flaw that I have found is that the back seat is uncomfortable if sitting in it for long periods of time probably due to lack of cushion but also because it is an extended cab there isn’t much room you can offer anyhow. Other than that, this car has shown me nothing but quality. Everything from the storage to the way it drives. It will get you out of almost any situation that you get yourself into!

Old reliable
I wanted a simple small pickup after having owned two previous Toyota trucks. I was a little hesitant, as I had an '85 pickup and '86 4runner, both of which are dead simple vehicles. The Tacoma has a new motor, the 2.7 4Cyl, and IFS.
I shouldn't have worried. The truck is a bit bigger, but still small and cool-feeling like my others. This is because the truck is no higher than others, but the floor is raised so there is more ground clearance, more than any other pickup of this size. It has a fine 5-speed and I have had only one problem with it: The u-joint went out on the rear driveshaft. Since this was a Spicer u-joint, it's not really Toyota's fault, just a fluke.
