The car is reliable and has had no major mechanical issues that weren't covered by the manufacturer warranty. It gets amazing mileage and thus has a relatively low cost of ownership. With nearly 180,000 miles it still has the original brake pads. I often refer to the car as a tank, as it seems to be unbreakable. The leather seats do have a few rips from normal wear and tear which is disappointing considering the car is seven years old. The paint also has a few areas that are beginning to rust. Last year this make and model was involved in the Volkswagen emissions scandal, and is a little disheartening to learn about. However the car seems to be nicer than other makes and models in its class. It has plenty of power! I would say that I am overall pleased with the purchase and the only reason to hold back from recommending it to others would be the emissions scandal. Overall a very nice car with great fuel efficiency that needs very little maintenance.

I purchases this car new and in the four years I have owned it I have put over 100,000 miles on the car. Only major problem was the AC unit went out at about 90,000 miles, but it was covered by the extended warranty. Love the fuel efficiency! Best road trip car, can drive over 600 miles on each tank of fuel. I hardest part of driving it across country is trying to convince my husband to take a bathroom break even when we don't need to get fuel.

The car has a good performance. It is great for small families. A compact comfortable car.
