I purchased this car about three years ago. There were two main reasons why I purchased this car. First, I was looking for a car that had excellent miles per gallon. Second, I wanted a car that had greater emission standards performance. According to Volkswagen, this car should have been ideal for both.

I bought my car on a recommendation from a friend who was familiar with VW diesels and done a few veggie oil conversions. It's smallish sedan, but I don't often have more than one passenger. It's a diesel, so you get a lot of low end torque, a lot of pep compared to a gasser, and fun to drive. like many of the old VWs though, the headliner was poorly made and is starting to sag. Performance wise it's great, but the little things, switches and whatnot, well, they show their age.
