I have never had a car as good as the Passat. I've had this car for over 3 years, and have never had a problem with it. I was even hard up for cash for about a year while having the car, and couldn't afford maintenance. Despite the check engine light coming on, the car still drove for 10k miles before I could go get it checked out, and the engine still sounds great. My car has almost 200,000 miles on it, and I was expecting it to start having issues or quirks, and it still hasn't. The leather seats are still nice almost 15 years after production. Altogether, a great car.

The Volkswagen Passat is a marvel of German engineering and clear proof that the automotive world is on the verge of great advances. Firstly, the Passat holds its own with luxury cars priced far above its very modest price range. It doesn't have quite the go of say a BMW or Mercedes, but it achieves exceptional gas mileage all while giving the utmost in ride quality and passenger comforts. I have owned many American vehicles over the years and this car shows just how far American manufacturers still have to come with regards to their engineering and ability to provide creature comforts. This modestly priced midsize car cannot be beat!
