Fairly good economic vehicle
I currently own a 2015 Toyota Corolla that I purchased in late December of 2014. I was thrilled about getting a new vehicle because I actually owned a Lemon from another car maker and was about to turn it in due to the Lemon Law. My vehicle had everything that I was looking for in a vehicle that had four wheels, good gas mileage, and a few extra goodies for the inside that I took for granted from my previous vehicle. To get down the description of the vehicle I own and why I choose to purchase this particular one, I will start with my research. I know three manufactures of automobiles are notorious for staying in good shape and last a long time as long as the owner does the scheduled maintenance on it. Toyota happens to be one of them. I have never personally owned a Toyota and checked them out online. The main highlights that I was looking for when shopping for a vehicle was the gas mileage, which the Toyota Corolla was supposed to have approximately 37 to 42 mpg and a roomy enough back seat for my two children, who are in booster seats. The added bonuses with the Toyota Corolla was that it had hands-free calling, a screen that shows who is calling on the phone so you don't have to fumble with your phone when it rings, and a nice gray interior which doesn't show too much dirt. The down-falls was that it did not have touch-free unlocking from the outside, heated seats (which I don't really needing living in Florida, but after a long day and an hour commute, it really became the norm for me to turn my heat on even in the blazing Florida summers), and the rims on the vehicle sort of fall under the plain category.

Basic but reliable.
We bought this car in 2009. I've never had any major, unexpected issues with it. I’ve had to replace the battery once and the tires and windshield wipers at regular intervals, but that’s it. As long as you do regular maintenance twice a year, you should be fine. I'm rapidly approaching 200,000 miles on this car and it's still going strong. I'd consider this a good option for anyone looking for a first car. The biggest con is that there’s quite a bit of cosmetic damage. Something was wrong with the paint they used on this year’s model. It’s oxidizing or something so looks faded and patchy (I’ve seen the same issue on other gray Corollas from the same year so I know it’s not just mine). There’s a lot of plastic pieces stuck around the outside that are just begging to come off. Once while pulling out of a snowy parking space, the snow stripped one of the pieces off the right side. Other parts have fallen off without any known provocation. However, since these are all superficial issues, I still consider this to be a good basic car. There’s no bells and whistles (I’m still using a tape adapter to listen to music) (I suppose you could count the sun roof, but I forget it's there most of the time), but this car has been good to me.

It is compact and fun.
I like the shape of the exterior of my RAV4. The look is between a jeep and a mini- SUV. It is very sporty and fits a fast-pace life style. It always makes me feel energetic and I have a lot of fun driving it. It is also very versatile-- for transporting either passengers or goods. I do not like the bulky size of a SUV, and RAV4 meets my needs to run the daily errands just well. The interior is simple but elegant. It does not look as extravagant and that is how I like it. I take my family of 3 on a small trip frequently and it is quite comfortable and safe. Sometimes when I make a trip to another state or overseas, I can put all the luggage and there still is still lots of room. The Price is economical, for the vehicles of similar class. Toyota is a reputable brand. They make sturdy cars that last. I do not need to take my RAV4 back for maintenance often, just like what I did when I owned the other Toyotas in the past. There is an optional feature via special order that I like especially, which is called Front Floor Lighting Kit. I think it is only offered by RAV4 but I can be wrong. I do not have perfect eyesight, especially during the night. This feature allows the area under my foot to illuminate when the door is open. Whenever I need to look for some object that falls on the floor, I just simply open the door and I have lights. It is also allows me to get in and out of the car safely.
