Gets the job done.
The truck is a beast. It performs great. I have the 6.6L turbo diesel, and it runs like a champ. The overall quality of the vehicle is exceptional. It has heated seats, air conditioned seats, and great sound quality. This vehicle has early collision alert system, where if you are approaching another vehicle quickly but not slowing down, it will alert you. It alerts you by vibrating your seat and flashing red lights at the base of the dash onto the windshield. This feature has saved me a couple times from what could have been a bad accident. Couldn't be happier with that feature; however, I do have an error currently with that feature currently, and it states it needs to be reset. I've been able to haul extremely heavy loads, including heavy generators that weigh 9,000 lbs. and heavy equipment, and this has been beneficial for the work that I do. The back-up camera is great on this vehicle. I'm not sure how I would park it without it. Makes maneuvering the vehicle a breeze. The truck has LED lights that light up the bed of the pickup and the sides of vehicle. This has been extremely helpful at night when you need to see.

Good, reliable truck.
My truck is a 1997 GMC Sierra. It's a very reliable truck. I've had it for almost 20 years and the only problem it has had is with the air conditioning. That turned out to be a loose wire in the dashboard, which is understandable for a truck this age. The paint has started peeling a bit, but that's probably my fault for not washing it enough. The truck is a real workhorse. We've used it to move furniture, haul trash and tow a horse trailer. The truck only gets 10-11 miles to the gallon, which I suppose is standard for that type of truck -- automatic transmission, 8 cylinder engine. It doesn't matter if we're towing the trailer or just driving down the highway, the gas mileage is always the same. It has an extended cab and a full-size truck bed, so it can be a bit awkward when trying to pull in or especially back out of a parking place in a shopping center. I really prefer the full-size truck bed. A lot of trucks today only have a full size bed with a standard cab. It seems like when they have an extended cab or crew cab manufacturers take that space out of the bed. I once had to deliver an 8' long bridge -- an obstacle for a trail course -- and the purchaser couldn't believe that it fit in the truck bed!

Can't get any better
The Sierra 2500 is the most comfortable truck I have ever owned. Extremely comfortable, you can tell GMC didn't skimp on the quality put into this vehicle. It doesn't feel like a truck. I have a family of five, and it seats all with ease. The infotainment system and additional options, make long road trips a breeze. I can have the cabin packed to the full capacity along with the bed, and the truck carries on like an unloaded truck. I have put 33,000 easy going miles on it and haven't had any issues.
