Great Family Car
This is a great family vehicle. It has spacious seating and extra cup holders, which is convenient for a family on the go. The seats can fold down to accommodate large loads. The sunroof feature and two-toned seats add to the sleek, trendy features of the car. It is a practical car for a family of 5, plus a dog. My favorite feature was that it was durable and safe. The back windows had child safety features that I loved and could fit 3 infant seats safely in the back. Not many cars can do that. It got average fuel mileage at a comfortable cost. Another handy feature was the keyless entry. Many times my children locked the keys in the car and this was a simple solution to ensure that I would never be locked out. The exterior has held up very well. There only one small spot of rust after almost 10 years. Another favorable feature is that it is American made. Ford has always been a brand we can count on to get us where we need to go.

Not as reliable as I hoped.
It is a smaller SUV and came with heated leather seats, sun roof, power everything and 4W drive, so I was excited and had high expectations for this car. Unfortunately, my expectations were not met. I have had to have the car in the shop many times and spent more money than I thought I would in maintenance. I had to completely replace the transmission and within 2 weeks had to take the car back into the shop because the transmission was not working right again. In addition, the interior has not help up well. The fabric is peeling from the ceiling and the dash is faded and checking. The vehicle handles well, but the brakes seem very soft. I really have to push hard on them for a stop. It is comfortable to drive. The auto start and the heated leather seats are amazing features on those cold and blustery winter days. As a parent to two small children, the latch system and rear anchor points make installing car seats a snap. Also, the fold down seats allow me to easily fit 8' lumber into the back of the car for the weekend honey-do list projects.

Totally fits me
My 2005 Mercury Mariner is my favorite car that I have owned. I bought it used but I love the size and the style of the SUV. The look of it is still really good even after being 10 years old. It has great pickup on the highway. Even with a new transmission in it at 90,000 miles it now drives like new. My only dislike is that I feel the sunroof has a bad seal and has to be fixed. It fits comfortably 4 people and still has great trunk space for luggage or shopping trips. I feel completely safe driving it and still looking stylish even for an older car. It does not truly eat gas like other vehicles though it could more a little more fuel efficient. Overall this SUV is truly my favorite vehicle I have ever owned. I would love to be able to get another one like it between the shape, look, feel, driving capabilities of the SUV, space in it and the features it came with.
