I love this car
My old car started to fall apart and I desperately needed a new car so I bought this car from an elderly couple who kept this car in great condition. When I made the decision to buy this car I did lots of research on this car type and I found that it is one of the better choices. I was looking to get an SUV and another sedan type vehicle. I am proud to say I made a good choice. It is a automatic transmission and prior to that I was driving a car that was a manual transmission. I like that when I take a 4 hour road trip with my family I only have to refill the gas tank only once. That was a major plus for me. This car has a remote key unlock and lock system and that was something I was needing seeing that my old car didn't have that feature. When I crank this car up the motor is very quiet and it drives so smooth. I like that I can use the cheaper gas in the car and it still drives well.

Excellent
The car overall is pure quality. You can tell just by looking at it that Ford took their time to design and build this car. The seats are comfortable, everything is within reach and also accessible via My Ford Sync, I can play my music from my iPhone via Bluetooth or via the USB connection in the center console, make calls easily with the Bluetooth, navigate to the closest restaurants just by telling my car "I'm hungry" and making a choice from the list of restaurants that come up in my navigation... This is a techie's dream!! The Multi Contour Seats assist with driver fatigue, and boy, do they feel great after a long day at work! The heated seats and steering wheel are great for the winter, the cooled seats are great for the summer… And the remote start chooses which to activate based on the weather – heat or air conditioning, which is an awesome feature! You can customize how long your vehicle will run when started via remote start also – 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 15 minutes. The Driver Assist package offers some great features as well. Rear backup camera offers a clear and crisp picture of what is approaching from behind when you are in reverse. The rear sunshade is great if you have a rear-facing baby in the back. Speaking of the back seat… It also offers heated seats on the bench in back! What an awesome feature! Step on the gas and this baby flies! The twin turbos really make this V6 fly down the road, and the AWD will keep you moving straight in all weather conditions.

I can't wait to trade it in!
I don't like the style of the car. The Taurus seems like such a generic vehicle. There are tons of them on the road and not one is significantly different from the other. I don’t feel like there is anything special about it. It is gold-beige in color. The interior is brown. How much more mundane can it get? In addition to not liking the appearance of the vehicle, I have had numerous mechanical problems with the vehicle. The cruise control cable went. Then the clock timer inside my steering wheel went and now the buttons on the steering wheel won't work. I've had issues with the EGRs and replaced them. After that, I had to replace my DPFE sensor. Also, my catalytic converter got so hot that it got clogged and blew a hole in my manifold. That turned into an $800 job. I have changed the timing belt. The power steering fluid is leaking out and the fuel injectors are clogged. Every once in a awhile, my car surges forward like the gas pedal is stuck and I have to hit the gas again for the RPMs to come down. I can’t even be confident about buckling up for safety because the release button sticks and randomly out of nowhere the buckle comes undone. All this has happened before I have hit 140,000 miles on the car. I’m talking about a bucket of bolts!
