Great luxury car. Perfect for city but terrible on your wallet.
I bought the car used at the beginning of 2014. For the price, it was a great deal. A little over $47,000. Test driving the car was fine. It handled well, the ride was smooth and quiet, and the comfort level was perfect. Owning it, the gas mileage was on par with the vehicle's weight and engine size. I was about to get about 20-25 miles to the gallon, which made it a great city car. However, one drawback was the car's size. Parking in the city is difficult to find for larger cars outside of the pricier lots and garages. And parking on the street is all but impossible without pre-existing spaces laid out by the city. Repair costs were high but expected. Nothing I couldn't afford, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it. However, within the first year the car needed to be serviced some eight times. I got rid of it November, trading it in for a 5-series. I've had almost no problems with it. Overall, it was a great car, minus the mechanical problems, which I think was a problem with the car itself and not the brand.

A beautiful machine.
The BMW 7 Series Li handles surprisingly well, compared to my 2000 3 Series. A tap on the brakes allows you to stop on a dime, and a tap of the gas allows you to achieve 70 mph in no time at all. I was also surprised by the roominess in the vehicle. The outside of the vehicle seems small in comparison to the inside. There is a ton of room, especially in the back seat, and that's not even mentioning the leg room in the front and the back of the vehicle. The back seat is comfortable and long enough to secure an average person's entire body for sleeping purposes. I love the fact that I am able to view my speed in the windshield as a direct line of vision, but the beeping that reminds me that I am speeding can be somewhat annoying. However, with the touch of a button, the feature can be disabled. The heated seats come in handy during the winter, but the car does not have a remote start feature. The seat extension feature is also nice when a driver is traveling long distance and finds he or she needs more support for the legs. The soft-close door feature is also wonderful but makes me a little apprehensive because I can never tell for sure whether the doors actually closed. Overall, the vehicle is beautifully awesome. It is a well-made machine.
