The Mercedes suffers from a cramped back seat, and it offers less cargo space than the BMW. A larger standard touch screen (measuring 8 inches compared to the X1's 6.5) and available Android Auto aren't enough to overcome the GLA's other interior woes.
BMW's Mighty Mouse crossover, small but both effortlessly playful and uncompromisingly practical. It's powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder engine that revs eagerly and smoothly with good fuel-economy ratings and plenty of power.
