Toyota Tanskys Sawmill Columbus
2013 Toyota 909
At Tanksy, I received excellent service. I wanted to buy a vehicle, and I found the perfect one at their dealership. The car was listed on their website, so I thought I would visit the location. Once I arrived at the location, I was greeted by Warren. He took us to the vehicle, and he showed us the features. He did not pressure us to buy. We had some obstacles to overcome before making a purchase, so we discussed them with Warren. He helped us overcome them, so we were able to make a smart buying decision. He was available every time I called, and he quickly responded to emails. The next time I purchase a vehicle I will talk to Warren about my buying needs.

This dealership was so great because of the high quality service. I felt that the salesmen was more like one of my long term friends than anything else. I had no worry about the company trying to give me a bad deal in order to make a profit for themselves. The process was easy to understand and extremely quick/hassle free. Finally, the service at this lot was so incredible because I left that even though I was not able to make a purchase at that time I would still be welcomed back.

This dealership is in a great location that is convenient to me. The facilities are well maintained and easy to navigate. They keep a large and diverse inventory in stock. The staff is quick to help and very knowledgeable. I do not know a lot about cars, so I need a salesperson who is willing to be patient with my ignorance. I found that here.

They understood all my concerns and were patient with me even with all of my questions.

This city is absolutely beautiful in the summer time. It is THE spot to be for anyone who enjoys festivals of any kind and the individuality that Columbus has to offer. This city is amazing when you really have time to just casually drive or walk through it. Down in the Arena District by Nationwide Arena, there are even bike rentals which make for an even more fantastic stroll through the city life. I definitely recommend driving through when it is not crowded so that you can really get to spend some time viewing all the landmarks of Columbus.
The East side of Columbus has a great selection of pre owned dealers. Most of them are privately owned and offer some pretty great deals on some higher end vehicles during the winter months. Surrounding most of the freeway exits off of Interstate 270 is where you can find most of the primary dealers for Honda Chevrolet, Ford, Buick, Audi, etc. These dealers have a much larger selection and are premiere sites to purchase brand new vehicles at. Craigslist has auto auctions where you can find good deals around town as well if you're willing to haggle a little bit. They also have a wide selection of older school vehicles and classics that have been privately restored.
My favorite driving memory in the city of Columbus was during my very first gallery hop off of North High Street in the Short North. It was a beautiful sunset that evening and the weather was warm and summery. The shops all had their doors open welcoming the public in. The strange yet intriguing variety of people down there is incredible and one of the main things that draws me into this event every month. The bars and restaurants all had their windows open with their patio seating all a bustle. There were people walking their dogs, strolling with their sweeties, or casually conversating with their friends. The traffic was almost at a standstill as the valet rushed to squeeze as many vehicles in the already crowded parking lots.
North High Street. Honestly speaking, all of North High Street is great, especially the stretch through downtown. The beautiful buildings and wide array of people makes it very interesting to look at. Particularly one of my favorite views is that of the Short North as I find all of the little boutiques and restaurants to be cute in themselves. The speed limit is only about 25 mph so one can't help but take in all of the artistic surroundings and the serenity it brings. This little street is so independent of the rest of downtown, that it truly is unlike any other street I've been on. The nightlife is incredible and the daytime experience is nothing short as well.

Columbus has some rude drivers so I would beware of that, and traffic is generally the worst during rush-hour, and primarily between downtown and the northwestern side of the city on Interstates 70 and 270. Interstate 270 is a circle around the city, so it's easy to find your way around if you get lost, and it is easy to circumvent the traffic if need be. Also, the signs on all of the interstates can be confusing, so I highly recommend GPS.
There are so many dealerships in this city that it's really a great city for car buying. I would stick to the larger dealerships instead of the smaller independents who pop up everywhere, as some of them come across seedy or untrustworthy and I've heard stories that make me cringe of autos gone bad. The best way is to listen to radio commercials to see who is having the best deals and then head out that way, after searching the dealerships out on the internet and reviewing reviews about them. Make sure the place you go is reputable, and you'll have a great time. Craigslist is full of cars from both buyers and dealers and is surely an excellent way to go if you know what to look for in your car so you don't get ripped off.
Some of the dealers also advertise good deals on Craigslist, but most of them are buy here pay here's that really are desperate for business (for a reason).
I took my grandmother on a trip around Columbus one time. I showed her the sights she had never seen before. She and I laughed and joked and enjoyed exploring side roads even I had never seen. I drove her downtown where she could see the new (at that time) Arena District, and all the new buildings that were developing further our small skyline. I drove up and down High Street, through the Short North District, around Ohio State's campus (as I had recently started attending classes and was concurrently undergoing cancer treatment at the cancer hospital). We drove by all of the numerous restaurants, hang-outs, diners, bars, parks, etc. It was a lot of fun and I wish she were still here with me so we could do it again.
Seldom Seen Rd.. The entire stretch of road is pretty fun, especially near the Powell area. It's like a little rollercoaster if you can get going fast enough. You have to go when there's not too much traffic and you'll get some great negative G's. Also, the road is hilly but straight, so there aren't a lot of dangerous curves, and it's beautifully lined with plush trees.
