Coggin Chevrolet At The Avenues Jacksonville
2008 Mitsubishi 1814
They worked with me to get the down payment within my budget. They got me financing with a not excellent credit rating. They allowed me to test drive 5 cars until I found the perfect one. They followed up with me after the purchase to make sure everything was going well. They offered a great warranty on the car even though it was used.

They have excellent employees, they were very thorough in helping me with my car search and have been excellent in maintaining my car. Their prices are fair and the waiting lounge is stocked with free specialty coffees, televisions, and other nice comforts. I've been treated well each and every time I've visited.

Is a car necessary in Jacksonville?

I would tell other drivers to be careful, especially during the summer when its rain season. There are drivers that are extremely careless and impatient, along with drivers who don't have much experience driving in the rain. This is the time I find that most accidents occur, and I am usually pretty leery about driving during these times. I would also recommend avoiding the downtown area in the morning, and in the afternoon around 5 PM, during rush hours. I usually take the back roads around these times.
When purchasing a car in Jacksonville there is actually a wide variety of options. Jacksonville is a very big city, and there are car dealerships on almost every side of town. I would recommended going to either the Westside of town, or to the Arlington area. I would say that each of the areas have 15 dealerships at the least, within walking distance of each other. I also recommend researching online first, but physically going out to a dealership to find a vehicle first hand, because a lot of car dealers give false information about inventory over the phone.
My favorite memory from driving here in Jacksonville was a couple months ago, on Independence Day. I have a pretty big family, which is why my car is very necessary for me. I had a couple of relatives come down from North Carolina, and including myself and my household members, it was about eight people total. We all packed in the car and headed down to the beach, which is about 20 miles away. I liked this driving experience because of the way I got to bond with my family members on the way to the beach. We all swamped funny stories, and also did a lot of site seeing with my relatives on the way there. It also was great that it was a national holiday, because there were a lot of people out and about, enjoying the festivities of the day.
Beach Boulevard. The reason it is my favorite road is in the name of it, Beach Boulevard. Its about a 10 mile stretch of road that leads to Jacksonville Beach. Along the way to the beach, there is a lot of great restaurants, great shopping plazas, and it is a beautiful area overall. It is part of the reason that I love going to the beach here.

To maximize the driving in this city I would say to be very defensive while driving. I would avoid rush hour traffic and driving in the rain. People in Jacksonville tend to panic when they drive in the rain, so it makes it a very scary place to be.
It is important to know that this is the largest city land wise in the world. Jacksonville is huge compared to other cities. It has many multiple zip codes. If I was buying a car here anytime soon I would try to find an owner. Most of the dealerships will overcharge by a few thousand dollars. Also, I would suggest getting a loan from the bank rather than any dealership.
Driving in Jacksonville, Florida is very scary. There are many drivers who do not pay attention. For example they do not check their blind spots before changing lanes, some other drivers think that Atlantic Blvd is there for drag racing. There are many drivers who do not consider watching out for motorcyclists and bike riders. It is very important to pay attention to what is going on around you at all times. I am always looking in my side mirrors for upcoming cars. Driving in Jacksonville my whole life has made me a very defensive driver. That is the reason I chose to have the VW Jetta because it is built very strong. I have a newborn so I am looking to get an suv soon. Drivers in Jacksonville are very preoccupied with cell phones, music, doing their makeup in the mirror, and other things like the passengers in their car. All in all, if you are going to drive in Jacksonville, Florida make sure you are aware of the dangers.
9ab. 9ab is the best route to take because it connects you to the whole city. It circles around the whole city and has rarely any traffic, making it a smooth commute. I tend to go that way even if the distance is longer than if I took one of the city roads. 9ab doesn't have any traffic lights and it has plenty of lane space.
