Quirky Bang for Little Buck
The boxy Scion XB was intended to appeal to a mid-20's male modder audience, but instead drew a following of silver haired devotees attracted by the roomy interior, excellent mileage, dependability, and overall low cost of ownership. The downsides include an anemic power plant which can be slightly (very slightly) mitigated by getting a manual model and some small adjustments like a cold air intake. With good tires, the XB will handle comfortable at high speed and despite the wind-vane shape corners respectably. However, in a parking lot, its turning radius is far worse than something much larger like a Volvo or Toyota Sienna. Overall, the XB will last a very long time, asking for little in terms of maintenance or cost.

I love this car and didn't think I was going to
My previous car was totaled in an accident and I had to find a new vehicle fast. I had been driving a rental vehicle with an automatic transmission (which I've never driven) and I had nearly caused an accident in it by trying to use the brake as a clutch. One of my main priorities was to find an manual transmission and there aren't a lot of cars that still offer that option. I explored the Toyota line-up because I have driven those for the last 22 years with no problems. The only thing was, I didn't like any of the models available. Then the salesman showed me the Scion line, which was originally designed for the younger market. I needed some cargo space and she suggested the xB. My first thought was, "I can drive this temporarily until I find a real vehicle I like". Once I drove the car though, I was impressed. Comfort, power, accessories, and loads of space. I ended up loving this car. It is my favorite car I've ever owned. It looks like a streamlined box at first glance, but my friends now call it the Tardis. That's because it looks deceptively like a small car, but once inside, it seems as big as any larger car. I wouldn't trade my car for any model now. I'm sorry they stopped making this model this year.

Easy and comfortable to drive
I like the way the car handles. It is pretty comfortable to sit in except on long drives, your rear end starts to hurt. Inside there is a ton of head and leg room. The style of the car makes it very modern. I have a maroon Scion XB which is so pretty. Since I have owned the car there have been no major repairs, just oil change and regular maintenance. The care is very fun to drive, it handles well. This car is the first in a while where I feel safe because of the car being a "boxy" type body.
