Adequate car
I think this car is fine, nothing special. My ex wife picked it out because she thought it was "cute". The mileage seems fine to me. I was able to drive my kids to Disneyland in it, and it made it the whole way. Other cars I have owned, if I took a trip that long something would surely have gone wrong. I actually took it to get inspected before the trip, and they said everything was fine. I was skeptical, but we made it back in one piece. There were no flats. I was able to travel at high speed much of the time. It is not my top preference for a car, and I won't get the same kind when I get another, but it's totally fine.

Best Car on the market!
While searching for new car, I was flummoxed. I searched for something that would work well for commuting as well as in-town driving. I found it in the Scion xB. It is comfortable enough for four well sized adults to ride in for long periods of time, which makes it the greatest road trip car. My disabled mother and sister ride easily in it with enough storage in the trunk for my mothers' walker and oxygen tanks. In terms of the gas efficiency, it is very good for the size, and I only have to fill it up once a week, twice at most.

Adequate car
Mechanically, I have no complaints. The vehicle has never broken down, and I've never had to change a tire. I take it in for regular maintenance and oil changes and have not had to have many significant repairs beyond that. I did have to get the tires replaced, but it was after quite a while. My ex wife chose the car because it was "cute," which is not a concern of mine, and I wouldn't buy the car again. My priorities for a car are safety, fuel economy, and price. It does fine on all these measures, but it is not the top of any of them. On the negative, I find it a little bulky, it's hard to park in smaller spots sometimes. It also does not have cruise control, which I found to be a valuable feature in a car I owned before, as it kept me from driving too fast. Finally, and I know this is a problem with most modern vehicles, but I find the idea of a "spare tire" to be extremely stupid. Why doesn't it just come with a full-sized tire? If you got a flat, you have to change, it, drive to a shop, wait a day or two for the tire to get fixed, so annoying. With a full-sized spare, I just change it, order another full-sized spare, and pick it up when it's ready.
