2009 Dodge Ram 1500 OWNER RATINGS & REVIEWS

Reliable, efficient, and comfortable.
My Dodge Ram 1500 has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned. It has a comfortable and convenient interior design with plenty of space and leg room for a single cab. It even had enough room to accommodate a car seat in the middle after we had our first child! We bought it with only one previous owner, and it had 4,000 miles on it at the time. So far, it has decent gas mileage. Since then, we have replaced the battery once! I have never had to have any major repairs, just general maintenance done. Rides just as smooth as the day we got it, and this is after numerous trip down the gravel road we live on. It's a quiet ride as well. Only issue we have had is it doesn't perform well in snow or mud. Since the truck isn't four-wheel drive and is powered from the rear, it tends to slide easily on mud or snow. It could use some weight in the rear or an option to use the front wheels instead of the back. All in all, it has been one of the best vehicles I have ever owned, and I've been very satisfied with my truck.

She's a keeper!
The first thing that catches your eye is the color. A beautiful deep metallic blue. And then you see the classic Ram front with that iconic front grill. Leather interior with heated seats and steering wheel adds to the comfort of winter driving. The four-wheel drive really helps in our Midwest winters. We have pulled campers and boats, pulled vehicles out of ditches and the truck has yet to let us down. The lumbar support makes long drives comfortable and the cab is spacious. The console in the middle is very handy for storage and also makes a great armrest. The back seats are just as comfortable as the front, if not even more so, along with ample leg room. The console has an alert system, which is great. The tires have sensors in them that shows up as an alert when tire pressure is low. There have been a few hiccoughs with the tire sensors; they are not cheap. While the truck is not the best on gas mileage, it does get around 20-21 miles per gallon if we take it easy. Back to winter driving, the remote start is fantastic and has spoiled us. The truck has a beige interior, and the trim has been customized to match the metallic blue of the truck body. I believe it's one of a kind! The one thing that surprised me was a cooler built into the back seat floor. And an even bigger surprise is that we have actually used it! We have had the truck for nine years now and still love it as much as when we brought it home from the dealer.

Wonderful, more power with excellent riding.
This is not my first truck. But, 2009 Dodge RAM 1500 SLT differs a great way from all other trucks I ever had. It has its phenomenal power with the comfort of a living room. The truck is far away from the old-fashioned box-type trucks we used to have. With its streamlined design it shows enough muscles to brag about. Mine is dark blue in color. So, I call it the 'gentle giant'. As for performance, I drove it from the rolling hills of Appalachian to the bitter cold of Michigan Upper Peninsula winter. And, it never put me down.
