Atlanta, GA Consejos de conducción
The tip I would give drivers is that in "Five Point" if you decide to drive and not take the subway... drive careful. The police will be on foot at stop signs and red lights looking for people with no seat belt or driving crazy. They will give you a ticket. Also don't part at the parking meters. They can either be broke, or you may expire and they seem to write tickets fast. I don't know if they have a signal or something that goes off when meters expires, but they will get you. You do better parking in the garage. Also in the Midtown area, crime is bad with cars. You can get car jack or rob there at night. It is a nice area, but you find some crooks that don't live there that prey on the students and people that visit the area. So if you going to drive at night in that area. Be careful. Even though "Five Point" is similar to Midtown, it just have more police on patrol there. You have city, county and Marta subway police. So you are good there. But there is a lot of homeless there. Be careful when you drive, they will be crossing the roads at night.
Atlanta, GA Consejos de compra
I recommend that if you live in the city of Atlanta, especially on and around Peachtree Street to don't buy a car. Everything you need to do work, play, eat, etc. is right there in the city and you can walk, bike, taxi or take the bus/subway to it. Atlanta has one of the best transportation system I know of. I been to a lot of cities but everything seem to work smoothly there. You would only need a car if you live outside of Atlanta in the suburbs like Smyrna, Dunwoody, Austell, Douglasville, Marietta, and so forth. The transportation is sparely there. If you just have to buy a car and at a good price. Go on Craigslist.. but be careful with dealing on craigslist. I always buy cars from there. .. I get great deals. Also I check with local Car dealers as well like AutoNation and CarMax. These car companies are trusted by a like of people. But I recommend to just take public transportation, cabs or uber. I heard Uber is very cheap and a lot safer. I have used all the other services but Uber. Maybe one day I will.

My most favorite memory of driving in Atlanta is a night. It is a beautiful city at night and a the traffic is not as bad. Parking is great at night and you can get in and out at a restaurants. All of the building are lit with lights and sometimes a haze is over the city most night. I love driving downtown in the summer because you can see everybody is out at night and enjoying the nice evening. A lot of entertainment take place at night, especially in the summer. You see street performance down on Peachtree street at Woodruff Park. This is a nice hangout for couples. Also I love driving by the Centennial Olympic Park at night because entertainment goes on there too. Plus, the water sprouts will play music and seem to be dancing. The children are out playing in the park at night and couple having picnics. Now we have a big Ferris wheel called "Skyview" in the middle of the city, which is beautiful lite at night as well. Atlanta is a great place to live, work, and play. Every time people come to visit me, they always want me to take them to the city and we have the best of time. They talk about it all the time.

Peachtree Street.. Peachtree street has a lot of businesses on it and great restaurants. Peachtree Street will take you from Buckhead all the way throughout the main hubs of Atlanta, including "Five Point".. that is a hip and preppy, college town area. A lot of the young people hand out there. It is where most of the highlights of Atlanta, like the "Underground" and some nice entertainment spot. It is also the hub where you can catch all the subway trains to any part of the Metro Atlanta area to the suburbs. So it is a very active spot. The traffic is very tight there during work day. On weekends and night time little traffic. But the police will be out stopping you for any wrong move you make with your vehicle or walking. They are tough with writing tickets in the area. I love Peachtree Street because it also get me to my favorite Park in Midtown. Piedmont Park. Piedmont Park is also a nice up and coming area as well. A lot of students live in Midtown, as well in Five Points. These areas are very active.

Atlanta, GA Consejos de conducción
Driving in Atlanta can be fun if you don't have to drive everyday. Our family goes into the city from time to time, so we might be able to enjoy it more than the everyday driver. In Midtown Atlanta, where there is a mix of big buildings and neighborhoods, one can get a little lost. Here, like other areas of Atlanta, one tip is not to be impatient, to take care reading the signs, and drive carefully. The traffic is not erratic, but can be fast from time to time. Making turns as you're following directions, check behind you to make sure traffic is not moving too quickly behind you for your turn. Drivers in the city rely on everyone following the traffic rules (except maybe speeding); if you are visiting, just know it is very safe to drive if you are paying attention. This way, you can enjoy the best of the streets while you drive.

Looking for a car in the city may be difficult, depending on where you live. It may be best to seek in different areas just outside Atlanta to get a good set of choices to make before buying inside the city. I would suggest shopping around and asking friends and neighbors where they would go. Buckhead has dealerships, but they are the more expensive vehicles. Areas such as Sandy Springs, Decatur, or Marietta may be some of your best bets for new dealerships, depending on where you might be located in the city. I don't have much experience with used cars in the city, but my sense is it would be best to ask a lot of questions of people locally about reputable places to purchase something used.

My favorite memory driving in Atlanta is when we drove north into the area known as Buckhead, which is north of Midtown. We were leaving one of the concert venues downtown, and had to find a street that would lead us to the interstate. As we went further on Peachtree Street, realizing we missed one of the streets that would lead us there, we decided to drive further into Buckhead. The streets at night in this area of the city are well-lit and there is plenty of sight-seeing by way of storefronts. This became an adventure, looking for the interstate, but one that led us further into a part of Atlanta I hadn't explored for many years. To see how the city had grown was quite amazing. It was easy to drive since traffic was minimal later at night, so our ride through this part of Atlanta was more entertaining. In the end, we traveled onto other streets until we reached the interstate further north than we thought we'd drive that night. The city had our attention, and we were happy to give it.

Ponce de Leon Avenue. I lived on one part of Ponce de Leon when I first moved to Atlanta. At the time, I didn't have a car, since the city has a well-run set of buses and trains to get around. But driving Ponce de Leon, from Midtown to the city of Decatur, you can travel a significant distance that is not at all boring. From Midtown storefronts, the street gives way to long stretches of older buildings and long stretches of beautiful parks, and begins a winding path to Decatur, where again it becomes a street filled with stores and a beautiful view of some of Decatur's historic buildings..
