I love my Malibu! I drive my Malibu to work and on leisure trips. Its great on gas mileage, in town and on highway. The Malibu rides smooth and is quiet. There is a bad blind spot on each side in the back that can be tricky. The trunk is very large and has enough room for 2 large suitcases and some other items. I am able to get my groceries and carry my golf clubs in the trunk. The steering wheel has radio controls making it easy to keep your eyes on the road. It also has a MP3 plug in so I can play my own music while on the road.

It was listed for a recall. It is older now and we have had nothing but issues out of it. Our engine light stays on CONTINUOUSLY. Now we have an issue with the turn signals not working, and we are going to have to take the dash apart just to fix it to be able to get a legal inspection. Also the door locks are messed up. If you don't have the remote to unlock it, you are screwed. The speakers have managed to blow on what was a decent stereo when we first purchased the car. The windshield has a small crack in it and when it was first purchased, my mother owned it. The mileage is very low. She didn't do any wreckless driving. She went to the grocery store and back in it. I would never purchase this car again! The work that we need to have done to the engine is going to cost about $2,000 alone, so we haven't went forward with trying to have it fixed. I am not sure about the hybrids or if any of these issues have been fixed, but I really don't think I would purchase again.
