The truck was built strong and lasts long. The cloth interior has held up well over the past 20 years, The truck has close to 200,000 miles and still runs strong. Some problems with the electrical system. Only have had to make minor repairs considering the truck is over 20 years old. This truck has been a great work truck, reliable and has stood the test of time.

The GMC is a workhorse! If you want a heavy duty 4x4, an old GM isn't a bad place to start. I really like the dependability of this truck. It rides very smooth. I just wished it got better gas mileage. I have driven a Chevy, Ford and Dodge and would rate this truck above all of these in all areas. It's also a great car you can drive daily. The 4.3 Liter V6 is a large V6 that is easy on the gas but powerful enough for what you want. Mine has a step on the side which I love. It provides great accessibility for the bed with one step. The interior is also great! Super comfy bucket seats, a working AM/FM radio and lots of leg space! What more could you ask for? I've had this old girl since 1981, and she definitely owes me NOTHING. I essentially bought her from my grandma when I was 18 and never looked back. Abused thoroughly in high-school, she now rests peacefully in my backyard, waiting for me to do a ground-up restoration.

I have had many vehicles in my life, and this is by far one of the best. I have traveled all over across the United States. I learned a long time ago that if you just get a car that is cute or has good looks, you are just setting yourself up for a world of trouble and hurt. I bought a used GMC truck that is a collectors, and it is wonderful It is built like a tank and is very dependable. I payed 1,000 dollars for it and have had it for seven years now.
