The car may be very old in age, but everything is working very fine and well for me as a new driver. The interface is simple to understand while at the same time providing clear indication of what is needed or required from the car. I like this car a lot as I personally preferred to have a higher view of everything in the car, therefore this SUV provided me with the height that I was looking for back then. While many people prefer to have their car outfitted with the newest tech installed, this car provided me with simplicity. The only dislike that I had with this car was, as a new driver, I would have preferred to have Lane Assist and Parking Alert.

We picked up an Isuzu Rodeo back when the kids were in high school and needed more room in our vehicles. At first the Rodeo was appealing. It felt like it had a decent amount of room, gas mileage wasn't too terrible for an SUV, and it actually felt like a quite sturdy vehicle. After a few years of driving we had more trouble than what the vehicle was worth. Three years later we were stuck with expensive to repair transmission issues. Not only were we stuck with transmission issues, but it seemed one problem after another. I wouldn't purchase one again, although I liked the simple design of the interior, the roomy features, and the back with plenty of cargo room, however the vehicle just didn't live up to my expectations of what a vehicle should be in terms of reliability. Sometimes it's nice to have extra room, features you like, and a nice car, but it doesn't do you any good if your constantly having to put money into it or it doesn't run due to repair problems.

My Isuzu Rodeo is a 1998 mid-range SUV with over 170,000 miles on it. It is one of the best vehicles I've ever owned and I've owned many. I bought it new in 1998 and it is still going strong. Other than the usual maintenance issues like battery, tires, oil changes, drive belt and an alternator, the vehicle is running like a moose on the freeway. Comfort is the best thing about the Rodeo. I have long commutes and the seats mold to my body--firm yet enough give that my body is fully supported. While driving, it has a steady, firm feel on the road which adds to my comfort level.
