Mechanically the car runs fine. I have not had any issues so far in the vehicle. I do however dislike the features available for a 40k car. The radio/media/navigation interface is not intuitive. Difficult to use especially while driving. Also for this price, other competitors offer more features for less money. For example, navigation software was not included and was required to be purchased separately. To buy the software sd card, Mercedes charges 800 for some software! Absolutely ridiculous and overpriced!! You can buy a stand alone navigation for fifty bucks! Why is a SD card with the software so much?! My other gripe is with the interior. Why no leather?! I'm sorry Mercedes but your synthetic leather-like material sucks! It does not have the same feel as leather. Again, for this priced car, it should be premium inside and out!! Their service center is nice. But you pay for it with service. Oil change is about five hundred.

The 300 series W123 chassis Mercedes is a fantastic and durable vehicle that will last for years if it is maintained. Very dated looks, but that adds to the charm. You will certainly enjoy the consistent and solid driving characteristics of this car.

I purchased my Mercedes in July used. The first thing you notice on this car is the Mercedes emblem is integrated into the grill, it gives it a very slick look to it. The rims are beautifully designed and are easy to maintain. The trunk is surprisingly very large for a midsize sedan & my favorite part of the car is the interior. The color schemes are beautiful inside. I recommend the technology package it is definitely worth it. The bass you get out of the stereo is perfection. One drawback is the navigation, it is kind of clumsy to use and seems dated. Sirius is built in and you will most likely get three months for free, which is nice. The manufacturer installed car mats do not fit the way they should, like on the driver's side they seem to keep getting caught on the accelerator pedal. The built-in automatic sunshade in the back is very clever & the automatic shutoff mode for external lights insures you will never kill your battery. I would say the most impressive thing about this car is the way it drives down the road. It grips the road very nicely in turns and braking is fantastic. It also does a fantastic job keeping the noise outside, outside. The gas mileage could be better but what do you expect from an all wheel drive vehicle. The car does sit pretty low, doesn't take much to scrap the under-body. In my life I have driven my share of sports cars and sedans, this is the best of both worlds. For the price, this is a great car.
