Really cool car!
When I decided to get a new vehicle (because my previous vehicle became inoperable) I didn't have much money to expend on a new one. I decided to lease a 2013 Fortwo from Mercedes. This was due to the fact that the cost of doing so was so low and also because this car gets great gas mileage. I'm 5ft 10 inches tall. And I was surprised how much room it had inside for such a small car. It was very comfortable on the inside and it had an automatic transmission but, I also could change gears if I wanted as well. I prefer automatics myself. I love the car!

Maybe it’s right for you
Driving my Smart car is really fun! I love parking it, including parallel parking (because I just pull right in). It holds two people just perfectly. My husband is 6'5" and he fits! We have traveled a lot in my car; we can fit our two suitcases in the back. It’s not the most smooth ride; it’s pretty bumpy. I love the great gas mileage and don’t mind paying for premium because the mpg makes up for it. It is inconvenient when I need to take more than one person with me. That happens a lot. There are two bad things about the car. The first, it is expensive to fix and needs more repairs than I would like. I’ve had many problems with the A/C about 4 years after buying it. The tires are expensive and hard to get and cannot be rotated. The doors are so big and heavy, they started coming off their hinges. Also, almost no car repair ever wants to touch your car! It is made by Mercedes, but they won’t touch it either. It would be best if you lived by a dealership, they can help you. The second, is that it is so small that I have almost been run over by other vehicles many times. I would estimate that it happens at least once a week. You just have to pay really good attention and use the cute, loud horn that it comes with.

Fun to drive, and easy to maintain.
What I like most about this car is it's size. One can maneuver very well in city traffic, and park just about anywhere. I also love the look of the car. Also, it you have a minor fender bender, and have an hour to spare, it is very cheap and easy to swap out a damaged panel yourself. It has a nice, sporty appearance, even though the engine is governed at 100 mph. It is very comfortable for my wife, me, and some of our larger friends, but there does reach a point where a husky fellow may feel a little too "cozy". Over all, it had plenty of room for my daily needs, and one can fit a surprising amount of cargo in the trunk, and a cabrio is a must because larger objects can project through the rear, or the top of the vehicle. One major issue is blind spots. For such a small car, the cabrio w/the top up has just about the worst blind spots on both sides I have ever experienced, but this can be remedied by setting the side mirrors wider than one would on a normal car. It has never been in for anything more than a key reassignment, but that was very expensive, as was the dealer oil changes. It is a Mercedes after all, and at least you only have to take it in once a year, or 10,000 miles. of course if one does their own maintenance, or gets work done at a local shop it is actually cheaper than the average sub-compact.
