The 2011 Ford Escape LTD, in my opinion, is a great car. I like the styling much better than that of the newer Escape. The interior is roomy and comfortable though not plush by any means. The seats, front and rear, have leather inserts and have been comfortable and durable the last 3 years of ownership. There is a fair amount of usable storage area behind the rear seat, which folds down, though not completely flat, for larger items. Instrumentation is right where you need it to be but the dash is a bit busy until you get used to where everything is. Fuel economy averages around 24 mpg (I live in a very rural area, so city mileage is meaningless since everywhere I need to go is at least 15 miles away). The 3.0L V6 Flex Fuel engine is very responsive (240 HP).

The Ford Escape SE 1.6L gets 23 mpg in town and 32 mpg on the highway. With the smaller engine, you might think that it lacks in power, but the Ecoboost surprises you with that zippy sport feeling that doesn't disappoint. I love the metallic silver color, which really gives the impression of driving a true machine. I have had this vehicle for about a year and use it to commute to and from work daily. I just had a routine service through my dealership, and it is in tip-top shape with 64,000 miles.

This is the first SUV-type vehicle that I have purchased and am asking myself why did I wait so long? The Ford Escape is a small-size SUV, and it is so practical for rural life. The color (steel blue) and four-wheel drive sold me on the car. With the winter we just had with over five feet of snow over four months, this vehicle got me everywhere I needed to go. As a volunteer first responder, this vehicle has gone to some amazing places this winter that the chained up ambulance couldn't even get to. Absolutely love the heated leather seats; they warm up faster than the car air does and make winter driving so enjoyable. The size allows four adults and our gear to ride comfortably on any type of road. The keyless entry is a bonus for those days you lock yourself out too!
