Reliable but horrible gas mileage
I bought the 2005 Ford Escape from my sister in law because she bought a new car. T only has 130K on it. At first, I was attracted to the car because it was a four door and seemed very sleek. The deep red color easily grasped my attention. I knew I needed this car. The luggage rack also made me want it since my buddies and I typically go snowboarding every winter. I like the space of the car. I can pile in both of my children easily. I like the trunk space that it offers. The V6 engine has plenty of torque and power when needed. I like the ability to pass the slow cars on the highway. I dislike the mileage of the car. With my rough estimate, it only obtains about 15 miles a gallon. With gas anywhere between $2.50 And $3.00, That can be painful. I also dislike the skipping of the engine here recently. With only 140K on it, it should not have any problems. Also, the back passenger window is not rolling down. The sunroof also does not retract every time. This can be a situation in the rain.

My awesome Escape.
Here are my feelings about the Ford Escape. When I got it I knew I was going to love it. I got it at 125,000 miles and after going coast to coast, down and up, and here and there, it is still running like a champ. Love how spacious it is for being a small SUV and I love the gas mileage. Great for going on trips! It gets about 32 mpg on the interstate and that is nice whenever I am going state to state. The built in roof rack actually supports a decent amount of weight so I didn't have to buy anything aftermarket. It has side rails on the side, although its not a big rig it is nice to have that extra step just incase you have an older passenger or someone who is shorter. The back windshield wiper is an awesome addition and it holds lots of wiper fluid. I use it quite often and its lasted me a year till I had to refill it. The all wheel drive is great for the winter months and actually works well. It isn't a 4x4 one but it surprisingly has gotten me out of a sticky situation and I was able to drive on sand. Most Jeep beaches require 4x4 or you are going to slip and slide but the Escape plowed through it. My favorite thing about it is the fold down seats so I can put a sleeping pad back there and do car camping. I mounted a solar panel on top of mine and you can basically live in it! It holds my snowboard, climbing gear, and a boulder pad quite easy with room for me to still live in it. The interior is cloth so it doesn't catch me on fire or chill me in the certain weather and the 6 disk CD changer is great for jamming. A great purchase and I recommend this for someone looking for a great middle size SUV.

This dealership wasn't great at all. I will never go back to them. I've had multiple issues with them and the vehicle and have been pushed aside.
