This is not my first Ford Taurus and it will not be my last! Every aspect of this vehicle fits not only my needs but also my wants in an every day driver vehicle. I have already driven this vehicle over 140,000 miles and have experienced no significant mechanical problems besides routine maintenance. The interior of the vehicle is of the highest quality and the leather has withstood the test of not only children, but also dogs, pigs and chickens in transit! I have hauled numerous items in my Taurus and have used it as a pseudo truck. The trunk pass through is a must have. I have hauled everything from lawnmowers and weedeaters to banquet tables and full size cornhole boards. The ride is exceptionally smooth and quiet even after years on the road. The backseat is as comfortable as the front seat and no one ever complains about having to be the backseat rider. For a vehicle of its size, I am very pleased with the fuel economy which generally averages around 18 mpg in town and up to 25 mpg on the highway. I have test driven several vehicles that I thought were must haves and I just keep going back to the Ford Taurus!

When originally shopping for a vehicle to replace our aging minivan, we knew that we wanted a car with available third-row seating in order to seat all of our children comfortably. However, we were also looking for the flexibility of being able to haul larger things, such as deck boards and landscaping materials if needed. Our search led us to the Ford Taurus X, which had both capabilities. We also needed a vehicle that had enough power to tow our small camper, and the Taurus X just made the cut. The car has good handling and has been very comfortable for long road trips. We have had relatively few instances for repair beyond the basic car maintenance.
