Past and present.
This car gets great gas mileage. It is small, but very comfortable to drive. It handles well, except for extreme hesitation (sometimes) when you first press the gas pedal. It doesn't have a CD player, but there is an input for an MP3 player. The audio system worked great for a while, but then shorted out and there was a loud static sound that would not stop even when the car was turned off. This is apparently a common occurrence in Ford Fiestas. Another apparent common occurrence is poor door latch quality (under a recall). I was traveling with a friend when the front side door would no longer close. We had to tie the door shut, and she had to ride in the back seat for the rest of the trip. I was able to get the door repaired when I returned home, but it definitely put a damper on the trip. I received a Ford Fiesta as a rental while my car was being repaired (a newer model), but it drove pretty much like mine does. I believe there are more recalls or recommended repairs on this vehicle, but it's very time-consuming and annoying to try to keep up with them all.

Good car, if the previous owner took care of it.
This car is a delightful small build car that will carry you through anything you put it through. I only have a few problems with it, and it is not due to the car itself, but the previous owner(s). The car gets good gas mileage, and is very comfortable. It as an excellent car for going on road trips, there is plenty of space in the trunk for you to fit in all your things. The seats fold down for extra room, and the front seats lean back really far! This car is very much so worth it for the price that I bought it for, which was around $14,000.
