If you buy one of these old Honda Accords, then you will have to do maintenance on it, but doing it yourself isn't nearly as difficult as the newer cars with computers built in. Most issues you would come up with can be solved fairly easily. It also has good gas mileage (19-25 MPG city, 25-31 MPG highway), which is a must in these times of fluctuating gas prices. It doesn't have any of the new toys and gadgets, but it should be fairly simple to at least update the radio with something newer. It does have some issues with leaking through the cracks of the windshield when it rains, and the car alarm has some issues with going off occasionally when trying to disarm it.
